As a 4th year student at the University of Waterloo, I work hard to excel in classes and utilize my skills to offer value in the teams I am a part of.

  • Spearheaded user research, feature prioritization, and agile development of new HR platform through 30+ user interviews, design/ prioritization of 5+ workflows and 10+ features to help scale from 150 to 550 employees
  • Led cross-team collaboration between engineering, PM, and design to create an MVP mobile application that allows enterprise managers to organize step challenges for employees and award crypto prizes for winners

  • Building a back-office web app for Marketing team to be able to create new promotions for theScore with 4 million daily active users using Elixir and Phoenix Live View

  • Developed new virus scan API implementation using Spring which scans documents uploaded for malicious content on the online insurance platform visited by over 30,000 active users
  • Delivered 7 user stories for several features including file download API, adding Notification Attributes tables and services to handle CRUD operations, displaying pending insurance policies and developed a new notification banner on dashboard which is visited over 120,000 times per quarter

Anand worked as software developer in my team at RBC Insurance Digital Agile Team as his 3rd co-op term from September to December 2020, reporting directly to me. He was assigned two digital projects using below languages/tools: Angular, Java, Spring, microservices, REST API, Swagger, full DevOps pipeline (Gitbut, UCD, Jenkins), MS SQL Server etc. He created a new REST API to scan for virus when client upload the documents which is now in testing phase and will be release into production in the coming year. He joined a digital agile project as team member and contributed to the sprint goals by taking user stories and participating in the Sprint Demo/Tech Demo. Anand is a fast learner, responsible, and passionate about his work and is a great team player.
